About Us
After nearly three decades advising clients at a large financial services firm, our founder, Brian Megibow, recognized a fundamental conflict: the institution he represented was legally obligated to serve its shareholders first. That meant recommendations that benefited the company—higher-fee products, proprietary investments, internal revenue targets—often took precedence over what actually served the client best.
Brian built Broaden Wealth to eliminate that conflict entirely. Here, our only fiduciary obligation is to our clients. Every recommendation, every strategy, every decision is made with client interests as the sole consideration. No corporate quotas. No pressure to sell proprietary products. No divided loyalties.

[ How We Work ]Our Mission And Values
Working independently means access to the full marketplace rather than a curated menu designed to benefit a parent company. When we build portfolios, manage income strategies, or structure estate plans, we're selecting from every available option—not just the ones that generate internal revenue for a larger firm.
This matters more than most people realize. The difference between a solution chosen from genuine independence and one selected to satisfy corporate objectives can represent hundreds of thousands of dollars over a lifetime. It also changes the nature of the relationship. When there's no institutional agenda, trust becomes simpler.
The name reflects how we work. Most people benefit from expanding their perspective—seeing more possibilities, understanding more strategies, accessing more tools than they knew existed. Wealth management done well isn't about finding the one "right" answer. It's about understanding the full range of options available, evaluating them objectively, and selecting what actually fits each client's situation.
More choices, thoughtfully evaluated, lead to better outcomes. That principle guides everything we do.
We measure success by one standard: whether clients are making progress toward their objectives. That means different things for different people. For some, it's accumulating wealth efficiently while managing risk appropriately. For others, it's transitioning into retirement with confidence that their resources will last. For others still, it's transferring wealth to the next generation in a way that accomplishes their specific goals.
What doesn't change is the commitment to proactive communication, consistent accountability, and reliable execution. Clients shouldn't have to wonder what's happening with their financial life or whether someone is paying attention. That's our responsibility, and we take it seriously.
