Brian M Megibow, CRPC®
Founder & Managing Principal Investment Adviser Representative
For nearly three decades, I've worked in wealth management with a singular focus: helping clients make confident decisions about their financial lives. As both CEO and Financial Advisor of Broaden Wealth, I've structured the firm to operate with complete independence—no corporate quotas, no proprietary products, no divided loyalties.
Why I Built Broaden Wealth
After years at a large financial services firm, I recognized a fundamental problem: the institution was legally obligated to serve its shareholders first. Recommendations often prioritized what benefited the company rather than what served the client best. I built Broaden Wealth to eliminate that conflict entirely. Here, my fiduciary duty begins and ends with you.
This independence gives me the freedom to design truly customized strategies, access the full marketplace of solutions, and measure success by one standard—whether you're making progress toward your goals.
How I Work With Clients
What fascinates me most is learning each client's personal story. While every client wants to improve their financial future, what that means—and how they define success—is deeply individual. A client's personal history shapes their financial perspective, risk tolerance, and decision-making style. Understanding not just your goals, but the life experiences that inform them, allows me to build plans that are financially sound and emotionally aligned with what matters most.
I take pride in being a trusted advisor—someone clients can rely on not just for expertise, but for consistency, accountability, and care. That sense of partnership and long-term impact is what makes this work deeply rewarding.
Professional Background
I earned my B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and have held Series 7, Series 66, and Series 24 licenses for over two decades. I'm also a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) and hold Florida insurance licenses. My interest in investing started early—at six years old, I asked my parents to help me buy stock. They handed me a book instead. That moment taught me something essential: understanding comes before action.
Personal Background
I've called Fort Myers home for over 20 years. My wife Mary and I begin most mornings walking along the beach, taking in the sunrise. Music has been a lifelong passion—I still play saxophone, guitar, and drums privately. I'm also working toward visiting all 50 states in a meaningful way, seeking out local culture and the stories that shape different communities. Whether through music, travel, or my work with clients, I'm drawn to discovery, perspective, and meaningful connection.
